LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. May 15 9:19 a.m., Sky Rose Ranch
9:19 a.m., Sky Rose Ranch Road- A woman called 911 to report someone was trespassing. However, a deputy noted the ongoing lawsuit the woman was involved in and referred her to her attorney.
1:29 p.m., 100 block Upper Cibolo Creek Rd.- A woman was concerned about a couple that had a barbeque pit on the side of the road with a large flame.
1:47 p.m., 30 block Joshua Ranch Dr.- A man with a Whataburger backpack emerged from the woods, looked into a few houses and walked back into the woods.
2:04 p.m., 1100 block Hwy 87 S.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop.
3:11 p.m., 300 block S. Some day Dr.- A man reported his roommate, who he kept saying he was separated from, was continuously assaulting him even though he wasn’t touching her. Eventually she calmed down and apologized, and he gathered his things to leave.
4:15 p.m., 100 block Red Bird Court- A dog trainer refused to return a woman’s dog to her because they suspected she was abusing the animal.
9:39 p.m., 540 MM I-10 W.- Two individuals were arrested after being clocked going over 100 miles per hour on the interstate and refusing to stop initially for a deputy.
May 16
6:47 a.m., Main Street and Herff Road- A bus driver with BISD saw a man on a motorcycle hit a deer and thought he might be injured. However, the bus driver couldn’t stop because he had children on board, so he called it in to the BISD transportation department.
1:07 p.m., 400 block Hwy 46 E.- Deputies responded to a report of shots fired. They found the person firing a weapon and determined they were shooting in a safe direction.
1:50 p.m., 300 block Hwy 46 W.- A woman wanted to speak to a deputy on behalf of a minor who had “lotion dumped on her” that morning.
4:40 p.m., 200 block High St.- A mother asked for an escort to a home in Kerr County where her daughter’s phone was pinging after it was stolen at school that day.
5:36 p.m., 42700 block I-10 W.- A father became upset and began throwing things at his daughter, threatening to damager her vehicle and property. She had confronted him for shopping instead of paying her back the money she loaned him.
May 17
9:11 a.m., 300 block Hwy 46 W.- A 240-pound 14-year-old girl staying at the Roy Maas Youth Alternative Center put another 80-pound 16-year-old girl into a choke hold and said, “I’m going to kill you,” while the two were in a van being taken to school. The 16-year-old ended up in the emergency room.
11:03 a.m., 523 8th St.- A woman was found naked and sleeping in the back of The 8th Street Market in Comfort. The employee who found her also found a glove with what seemed to be male ejaculate in it in the bathroom. The employee gave the woman a shirt and shorts to wear. The employee refused to file charges against the woman, despite not knowing how she got into the store, and the woman denied any assault and was given a courtesy ride to Kerrville.
11:52 a.m., 20 block Shady Oak Lane- Five cows and two calves showed up on a man’s property, and he was certain they weren’t his.
7:15 p.m., 36 FM 473 E.- A couple cows took a chance on greener pastures at Hole 6 at the Buckhorn Golf Course.
May 18
6:56 a.m., Staudt Street- Two men were arrested during a traffic stop.
9:22 a.m., Boerne- A woman reported her nephew, who was a minor, was sexually assaulted.
4:55 p.m., 36 FM 473 E.- The two cows caught chewing up the turf at the Buckhorn Golf Course returned to the scene of the crime that afternoon.
May 20
7:45 a.m., 100 block S. Hill Top Dr.- A woman was concerned about a young fawn abandoned in her front yard.
7:48 a.m., 700 block Broadway- Just minutes later, another woman was concerned about a young fawn abandoned on the side of the road in Comfort many miles away.
10:49 a.m., 50 block Mariposa- A resident was sick of her neighbors harassing construction workers for the noise they were making. She said the neighbors were cursing at the works and telling them to leave, which she said has been an ongoing issue.
1:31 p.m., 100 block Rio Cordillera- A man had set up a sting operation to buy back his stolen bike when he saw someone in Boerne had it for sale on Craigslist. The man didn’t have the serial number for the bike, so deputies told him they couldn’t assist him in his covert op without solid identifying information. The next day, deputies located the person selling the bike who willingly turned it over to the original owner, saying they didn’t know it was stolen.
2:23 p.m., 42 Cascade Caverns Rd.- An employee made threats to shoot people at the business.
10:06 p.m., 42 Hwy 87 N.- A taxi driver drove someone from Boerne to the Chevron in Comfort, but when they reached the destination, the passenger’s card was declined three times. The rider then got out and hopped in an Uber and left.
11:52 p.m., 531 FM 3351 N.- A security guard at The Roundup Outdoor Music Venue reported an assault for a woman who said a man hit her, and she wanted to press charges. The employee believed the man was the boyfriend or husband of the victim.
