LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. May 4

5:34 a.m., 100 block Post Oak St.- A man reported his ex-girlfriend was stalking him. He said she was sending threatening messages, including threats to burn his house down and drive by his home.

11:36 a.m., 532 MM I-10 W.- An 18-wheeler hauling a large combine nearly hit several cars on the interstate, according to a fellow driver. The commercial truck pulled over, and deputies found there was no road hazard.

1:36 p.m., 100 block Ulmus Rd.- A woman had it with her son who was laying on her front porch drunk. No disturbance ended up occurring as he returned home.

2:25 p.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- A guy went to buy a cow from someone at Love’s Travel Stop, but they started acting “shady” by trying to change the terms of the purchase when they met up.

5:54 p.m., 500 block River Oaks Rd.- A man bought a vehicle with 170,000 miles on the odometer, but he suspected the mileage was altered because CARFAX information showed it should’ve had 288,000 miles.

11:21 p.m., 538 MM I-10 E.- A large pumpkin was on the interstate, and it wasn’t even midnight yet.

 

May 5

8:28 a.m., 100 block Camp Alzafar Rd.- A man was initially worried when a suspicious panel truck drove up his driveway earlier that day, but he later learned his neighbor just had the wrong address.

10:12 a.m., 8040 block Old San Antonio Rd.- A man’s ex-wife was threatening him via text messages. He didn’t answer when deputies called back.

3:56 p.m., 200 block FM 1376- A man wanted to know who was responsible for cutting tree limbs.

8:23 p.m., 1381 S. Main St.- A woman was suspicious of a man in his 60s when a 4-year-old girl got in his vehicle at Walmart, so she followed them home. He was her foster parent.

9:41 p.m., 700 block FM 1376- A woman didn’t like that a man was walking with a backpack and flashlight while talking “loudly on the phone.” First, she said he was on her property, then she said he wasn’t. Deputies found the man was doing nothing wrong but simply walking home. He didn’t want a ride.

10:27 p.m., 533 MM I-10 W.- A driver was arrested after caught going 114 miles per hour on the interstate.

10:49 p.m., 900 block Front St.- A drunk woman called 911 saying her 11-year-old son slapped her because he wanted to play PlayStation. Deputies investigated and found all was fine.

 

May 6

6:37 a.m., 545 MM I-10 W.- A white pickup truck was pulling feed, but a chain from the pull was causing sparks which can cause grassfires. Deputies were unable to locate the truck.

11:36 a.m., 418 FM 1621- A site director didn’t know what to do when two individuals on either side of a restraining order registered for to attend the same event.

12:16 p.m., 522 MM I-10 W.- The driver of a Nissan Versa pulled over after the driver of a blue Ford truck threw something at their vehicle. They claimed the projectile was causing their paint to chip, but a deputy determined the chipping was caused by a shotty aftermarket paint job. The driver no longer wanted to file a report after the interaction with a deputy.

8:33 p.m., FM 1621 and Waring Welfare Road- A longhorn went for an evening jog to the general store, but residents were generally concerned.

9:01 p.m., 621 W. Bandera Rd.- A drunk 16-year-old with lots of beer in his vehicle left Whataburger.

10:06 p.m., Boerne- A woman reported a friend of hers attempted to take her pants off and rape her after she told him she was not interested in having sex that evening.

 

May 7

2:15 a.m., 143 Hwy 87 N.- A deputy was concerned about someone outside Comfort High School with a flashlight. The man was installing lockers.

5:47 a.m., 369 S. Esser Rd.- A deputy assisted Boerner officers in arresting a man for public intoxication after he began cussing at a clerk and banging on the business door.

6:39 a.m., 300 block Los Indios Ranch Rd.- A woman reported being afraid of her son who was “raging” and removing items from the home.

9:34 a.m., Possum Creek Road- A mother called 911 because she became afraid of her son who has PTSD and had been drinking. She tracked his movements around the property to dispatchers before being disconnected to keep him out of the house. When deputies arrived, the son was laying under a Jeep on the property.

1:02 p.m., 900 block Diamond Ridge- A woman called 911 then yelled at dispatchers to get off the line because they were messing up her phone call.

5:20 p.m., 200 block Hwy 87 N.- A woman was arrested and booked in the Kendall County jail once the results from a blood-draw warrant came out, which was issued after she crashed her car into a guardrail.

6:27 p.m., 100 block Ulmus Rd.- A mother called 911 because she wanted her daughter’s boyfriend to leave. The mother was becoming irate with dispatchers and the daughter was becoming irate with her mother. The boyfriend left.

7:39 p.m., 100 block Gaucho- A man reported he was being blackmailed with nude photos of himself. A deputy’s advice: Know who the person is “prior to sending photos of genitals.”

 

May 8

7:42 a.m., 100 block Ulmus Rd.- A mother was upset her daughter’s boyfriend was back the next day after calling deputies to have him leave the day before. Deputies located the boyfriend and determined there was no police action to be taken.

9:31 a.m., Highway 87- A woman was concerned about a homeless person who set up a tent across from her house. Deputies gave the person a courtesy ride to Kerrville.

2:03 p.m., 6 Staudt St.- A man wanted to meet deputies by the flag pool to talk about his stolen iPad.

5:40 p.m., 100 block Waring Knoll- A man was concerned about some kittens under his house he thought might need help.

9:38 p.m., 300 block Upper Cibolo Creek Rd.- A woman requested help from deputies when her smoke alarms wouldn’t stop going off even after she changed the batteries.

11:14 p.m., 500 block Linder Avenue- A man was attempting to get this property but his ex-girlfriend who was drunk was refusing to let him in.

 

May 9

8:23 a.m., 531 MM I-10 W.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop after narcotics were located in his vehicle.

10:32 a.m., 540 MM I-10 E.- A resident was concerned about a 70- to 80-year-old woman walking on the highway towards Johns Road. Deputies gave the woman a ride to Chili’s.

10:47 a.m., 8 Staudt St.- A female inmate at the Kendall County jail reported a sexual assault.

12:43 p.m., 37300 block I-10 W.- A resident was upset about a man being in the area, but the man was saying he was supposed to be there. However, the man ran form the location shortly after, and the resident began threatening to assault the man if they saw him again.

 

May 10

2:04 a.m., 100 block Idlewilde Blvd.- A woman reported her neighbor took her cat, put in a cage in the sun and killed it.

10:40 a.m., 100 block Crossfire- A man let deputies know $900 worth of construction materials were stolen. He didn’t want to pursue charges but wanted to report it for insurance purposes only.

3:23 p.m., 100 block Magnolia Circle- A woman wanted to know what her options were for a previous tenant who destroyed her carpet.

5:57 p.m., 100 block Swede Creek- An employee at Baptist Hospital reported a man shot himself on accident on a jobsite in Boerne.

11:14 p.m., 1029 Hwy 87 S.- A man tried to get into a woman’s car after going in and out of the store and talking to himself.
