The Boerne American Legion Post 313 and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 688 are planning separate Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday, May 30.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Veterans Plaza, the Legion will pay tribute to those who have served in the country’s armed forces. The guest speaker will be Fair Oaks Ranch Mayor Greg Maxton, a retired colonel in the U.S. Army. At 11 a.m., VFW Post 688 will conduct its remembrance at Boerne Cemetery. There, a missing man flyover will be among the events taking place.
The public is invited.
