People are invited to bring their lawn chairs and join the Boerne Concert Band in honoring and remembering the U.S. armed forces at its Memorial Day Concert at Main Plaza at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 29.
Some of the patri otic selections will include American Overture, Bullets and Bayonets March, American Civil War Fantasy, The Homefront, The Marches from 1941, Flight of Valor, Armed Forces Salute and America the Beautiful.
The Boerne Concert Band, directed by Larry Schmidt, performs five free concerts each year and is made up of members who include lifelong musicians, middle, high school and college students, military veterans and active and retired band directors.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be in the Boerne High School Auditorium.
