Conservation partners to host listening session

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in Kendall County and the Kendall Soil and Water Conservation District invite the public to attend their Fiscal Year 2023 Local Working Group listening session at 2 p.m. on Thursday May 19. The meeting will be held at the Old Waring Schoolhouse at 108 Avenue E in Waring.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring conservation stakeholders together to discuss conservation topics and issues relevant to helping Kendall County landowners better conserve natural resources, information from the organizations stated.

Ranchers, farmers, conservationists and other interested parties are invited to participate by sharing concerns and ideas to help shape plans and priorities for future projects. This helps with identifying where the best investments can be made to address natural resource issues, review the work that already been done and to share vision for the how the county can benefit when these resource concerns have been addressed.

For more information, contact Amanda Kirchner, district conservationist, at 830-431-0955. For persons with disabilities that require an accommodation, please notify the office at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
