The Boerne Independent School District announced the valedictorian and salutatorian, as well as the top 10 students, for the Boerne High School and Champion High School Class of 2022.
Taking the top two spots for Boerne High School are twin sisters Valedictorian Allison Clark, who will be attending Texas Tech University and will major in kinesiology, and Salutatorian Amber Clark, who will be attending The University of Texas and majoring in government.
For Champion High School, the valedictorian is Marisa Matos, who is headed to Northeastern University in Boston with an undeclared major, while the salutatorian, Sofia Parra, is undecided on a university to attend but will major in electrical engineering.
The rest of the top 10-ranked students for Boerne High School are, in order from third to 10th, Samuel Theiss (undecided, business administration), Kiana Vallante (The University of Texas, biomedical engineering), Margaret-Jane Kacyvenski-Goode (Baylor University, business entrepreneurship), McKenna Mann (Texas Tech University, pre-speech, language and hearing sciences), Gabriella Meyer (University of Texas, undeclared), Ashley Clingman (Texas A&M University School of Engineering, chemical engineering), Emma Keckler (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, aerospace engineering) and Georgia Busbee (Washington and Lee University, pre-law and Spanish).
Champion’s remaining top 10 ranked students are: Ethan Thornton (MIT, aerospace engineering), Shannon Breuer (The University of Texas, architecture), Catherine Knox (Vanderbilt, chemical engineering), Katherine Houck (Rhodes College, health equity), Calvin Perryman (Connecticut College, anthropology), Amber Frantz (University of Pittsburgh, neuroscience), Eva Childs (University of Texas, psychology) and Isaac Sueltenfuss (University of Texas, computer science).
The Champion High School graduation will take place Thursday, May 26, while Boerne High School’s is set for Friday, May 27. Both will take place at 8 p.m. at Boerne ISD Stadium.
