Boerne High’s Rashawn Galloway has always been a thorn in the side of Fredericksburg regardless of the sport and the senior did it one more time when the Greyhound baseball team visited the Battlin’ Billies on Tuesday.

Galloway hit two home runs on Tuesday and helped Boerne beat the Billies, 9-0.

The Hounds are 6-1 in 28-4A and 24-3 overall. They’ll host Fred on Friday and will look for the sweep.

Boerne was up 1-0 when Galloway came up to bat in the fourth inning and knocked it out of the park on an opposite field 3-run shot to right field for the 4-0 lead.

The Hounds weren’t done and scored 2 more runs to plate 6 runs in the frame and pull ahead, 7-0.

It stayed that way until the seventh when Galloway sent another shot over right field with a 2-run blast for the 9-0 lead.

The Hounds were patient at the plate and walked 13 times. Galloway also walked twice and picked up 5 RBI; Kalob Sanchez walked twice and scored 2 runs; Cam Johnson singled and scored; Andrew Poole and Tyler Garritano both walked twice and scored a run, while Dylan Perez singled, took 2 walks, pushed in a run and scored twice.

Xander Cloudy and Sanchez combined for a no hitter on the mound. Cloudy went 5 innings and picked up the win. He gave up 2 hits, 2 walks and fanned 2, while Sanchez threw the final 2 frames and yielded no hits and struck out 3.
