• Mini Workshops Pauly Tamez: Join resident artist Pauly Tamez from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19, for Intro to Abstract Expressionism using water miscible oils. The class will be introduced to basic concepts and techniques of fine art painting, the tools and supplies needed, and the terminology used in creating an abstract expressionistic painting.
• Art AfterHours: every Tuesday, 7-9 p.m.
• April 15: Paper Coil Basket. A twist on traditional craft of basket making, we will work paper coil cording. The bound paper cording will be formed into a unique vessel. Once completed, we will embellish our baskets with color and symbols using alcohol markers and paint.
• April 22: Metal Bell. The art of music crafted in metal. Turn sheet metal into an embossed dimensional bell. Fabricate a cord and clapper with suede and beads. Use colored patinas or alcohol inks for color accents.
• April 29: Buttons Buttons Buttons. Buttons fabricated from polymer, wood, or antique. We will sculpt a button from polymer clay and use pre-fabricated buttons of various mediums. Adorned with decorative tissue, gilding wax, beads, and ephemera. Use in your favorite textile project or craft creation.
