The Boerne Home and Outdoor Living Show made its debut at the Bevy Hotel’s 15,000-square-foot meeting and ballroom Saturday, drawing a strong crowd.

Participants were given insights into a wide variety of vendors. While most home upgrades are typically decided through web browsing, this event provided potential customers with the opportunity to touch and feel the products, experiencing their potential firsthand.

Vendor categories during the two-day show included lighting, storage, home safety, and energy efficiency products for home upgrades. Throughout the weekend, presentations were made by master gardeners, water treatment professionals and organization experts.

Stacee Lynn, known as “The Barndominium Lady,” captivated a highly interested crowd with her presentation on the “do’s and don’ts” and reasons why a “Barndominium” is an appealing option in the Hill Country.

Lynn highlighted the benefits which include c o s t - e ffective construction, resistance to termites and pests, flexible layouts, energy efficiency and the rural lifestyle.

“Barndominiums” are built to withstand extreme weather conditions, such as tornadoes and hail providing a safe living environment resistant to the dangers of wildfires.

Most products featured at the show were from Hill Country- based tradesmen and tradeswomen, along with American- made products.
