The Deer softball team turned the tables on Florence last Friday in Comfort.

Just three days after being run ruled by the Lady Buffs (17-7), the Comfort Deer returned the favor and defeated Florence with a mercy-rule victory, 16-3, in four and a half innings on Friday.

Comfort is 5-15 overall and 2-4 in district. The Deer started a series with Ingram Monday at home. CHS visits Ingram Friday, 7 p.m.

In last Friday’s contest, Comfort scored 5 runs in the first, third and fourth frames. They added a single run in the second and didn’t have to bat in the bottom of the fifth, so they scored in every inning they were at the plate.
