Greyhounds at Antler Relays before district meet this week

THE BOERNE STAR

BHS competed in one final track and field event before its 26-5A meet scheduled for this week at Rutledge Stadium.

Some of the Greyhounds were also entered in the Texas Relays last weekend.

At the 50th Charlie Dobbs Antler Relays, the Boerne girls were 5th with 61.33 points, the BHS boys finished 6th with 40 points. In JV action, the Lady Hounds placed 3rd with 98 points and the JV boys were 4th with 51 points.

RESULTS (top 6) Varsity Girls

Ocean Valenciano placed 6th in the 100 dash after clocking in at 13.43, Penelope Kirk came in 6th with a time of 2:32 in the 800, Abigail Jendrusch was 6th in the 1600 at 5:48 and Eleanor Davis finished 5th in the 3200 after posting a 12:20.

with a time of 15.74 and Igbo also came in 3rd in the 300 hurdles by clocking in at 45.81, while Brei Johnson was 5th in the event at 49.05.

The Boerne girls were 3rd in the 4x100 after teaming up with a time of 50.58, the 4x200 combined for a 1:50 that earned them 4th and the 4x400 was 3rd with a time of 4:13.

Igbo earned more points in the high jump after she came in 6th by clearing 4-8, while Ella Schram threw the discus 101-2 for 4th and also came in 5th in the shot put with a heave of 31-5.

Varsity Boys

Julian Wasel finished 6th in the 800 with a time of 2:05, Brayden Scott came in 2nd in the 1600 after posting a 4:41, while Scott also placed 3rd in the 3200 by running a 10:13.

Hudson Bruce finished 5th in the 110 hurdles by clocking in at 16.66 and Joseph Hernandez placed 6th in the 300 hurdles with a 43.23.

Noah Blomqvist tossed the discus 142-7.5 for 2nd, Logan Schram threw the shot put 48-11 to take 2nd and Keegan Fischer finished 4th in the shot with a throw of 45-1.5.
