The Boerne Champion track and field team made it a clean sweep after they took first place at the recent NEISD Invitational at Heroes Stadium.
Their next meet scheduled for Northside was called off due to the rain last week, although the Chargers had several entered in the Texas Relays over the weekend.
At NEISD, the Lady Chargers (148 points) and Champion boys (178) won the varsity divisions and the JV girls (172) and JV boys (197) both took 1st.
It was Champion’s final meet before district, which is being held this Wednesday and Thursday at Rutledge Stadium. For more on the Texas Relays and the district meet, see the Boerne Star.
RESULTS (top 6) Varsity Boys
Cal Isley placed 2nd in the 100 in 11.25 and Juan Nava came in 5th with an 11.53, while Zachary Garcia, Brogan Dempsey and Jaxon Harbuck went 3-4-6 in the 200 after Garcia posted a 23.16, Dempsey a 23.21 and Harbuck a 23.41.
In the 400, Harbuck took 2nd with a 52.59 and Hayden Fridley was 5th in 53.09.
Charlie Houck won the 800 after clocking in at 2:02, Shawn Edwards was 3rd in 2:04 and Mason Nelson came in 4th in 2:05.

1600 with a time of 4:31, Mason Nelson finished 4th in 4:49 and Luke Mitchell was 6th in 4:51.
Houck also won the 3200 after he posted a 9:21, Edwards came in 4th in 9:58 and William Coover was 5th in 10:30, while Landon Siwek earned points in the 300 hurdles after he was 6th with a time of 44.33.
In the 4x100, the Chargers teamed up for 2nd with a 43.41, took 1st in the 4x200 in 1:30 and came in 3rd in the 4x400 after combining for a 3:30.
Corbin Buchanan won the high jump after he went 5-10 and Jaxon Barnes was 2nd at 5-8.
Oliver Christian finished 5th in the long jump with a leap of 19-1.25 and Dev Patel measured 38-11.5 in the triple jump for 5th.
Landon Kolacny won the pole vault after he cleared 14-0, Matthew Beauregard tied for 4th at 11-6 and William Welter placed 6th at 11-6.
Blake Stehling came in 3rd in the discus with a toss of 132-4 and Stehling won the shot put with a heave of 50-6, while Taylor Castillo finished 6th in the shot at 40-3.
Varsity Girls
In the 100 dash, the Lady Chargers went 3-4-5 after Juliana Syroney ran a 12.85, Madison Meinke posted a 12.98 and Sarah Blakeney clocked in at 13.26.
Holly Winkenhower took 4th in the 200 with a time of 26.96 and Mikayla Green placed 5th in 27.53.
Michelle Cerna recorded 2:24.14 for 2nd in the 800 and Madison Mungia was 3rd in 2:24.87.
Payton Kidder finished 2nd in the 1600 after she posted a 5:14 and Rebecca Bezerra came in 6th at 5:26. Kidder also finished 3rd in the 3200 in 11:38 and Bezerra was 5th in 11:43.
Addison Davis, Kinsley Graff and Ella Bachmann finished 3-4-5 in the 100 hurdles after Davis ran a 16.47, Graff posted a 16.66 and Bachman came in at 16.86.
Davis also posted a 49.08 in the 300 hurdles that was good enough for 3rd and Graff came in 5th in the event with a time of 50.55.
Champion took 1st in two of the relays after they clocked in at 49.01 in the 4x100 and also came in 1st in the 4x200 with a time of 1:46.
The Lady Chargers were 2nd in the 4x400 after posting a 4:10.
Amora Cummings placed 6th in the long jump with 15-3.5, Bryn Colvin finished 5th in the triple jump after measuring 33-0 and Hannah Burkett and Cameron Wampler were 2nd and 4th in the discus after Burkett had a toss of 106-6 and Wampler registered a 99-3.
Burkett also placed 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 35-6.25.
