SAN ANTONIO – Several Boerne area athletes and coaches were involved in last weekend’s San Antonio Sports All-Star Basketball games. The Boerne High girls basketball coaching staff, along with seven players from the area participated in the 5A-1A games held Sunday at the Northside Sports Gym.

BHS girls head coach Amy Ruede, along with her assistant Trey Graham and Cami Keane, coached Team White to a lopsided win.

Playing for Coach Ruede was her daughter Jenna Ruede, Greyhound teammate Chloe Donnell, along with Geneva School of Boerne’s Maegan Riebel.

The boys 5A-1A game had four Boerne area athletes from three different schools at the event.

Geneva School of Boerne’s Colton Lutz and Wyatt Bruss, along with Boerne Champion’s Baeden Burdick suited up for Team Blue, while Boerne High’s Casen Hoegemeyer played for Team White that won the game.

This is the second year for Amy Ruede and her staff to coach in the game where they’ve led their respective teams to wins in both games.
