BOERNE — Geneva School of Boerne high school students competed at the Texas Art Education Association Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) in San Antonio in February.

All seven Geneva students who participated earned the top rating for their artwork: senior Sofi Treviño, junior Megan Luffy, sophomores Carlyle Harden, Hope Lorenz, Maya Thomson and Adelina Vela and freshmen Ashley McCollough.

Luffy and McCollough both advanced to the State VASE Competition that will be held on April 26.

“I am delighted for Megan’s and Ashley’s work to be selected out of the 1,621 pieces juried,” Danielle Patteson, Rhetoric School art instructor, said.
