SAN ANTONIO – Boerne High track and field members were entered in the Mule Relays before spring break and both varsity Greyhound squads finished in the top 5 in the team standings.
The BHS boys were 4th with 71 points and the Lady Hounds tallied 78 points for 5th place. Boerne is scheduled to return to action this coming week at the Tivy Antler Relays.
RESULTS (Top 6) Varsity Boys
Brayden Scott won the 800 run with a time of 2:03 and Jackson Temple was 6th in the race after posting a 2:12.
Aaron Garcia took 2nd in the 1600 after he clocked in at 4:31 and Brayden Scott finished 5th in 4:43, while Carsten Bain placed 4th in the 3200 with a time of 10:53.
Boerne’s 4x200 came in 6th after they combined for a 1:36, the 4x400 also placed 6th with a 3:45 and the 4,000-distance medley relay took 2nd with a 10:48.
In field events, the Boerne boys did well in throwing.
In the discus, Ben Bays, Keegan Fischer and Noal Blomqvist finished 2-3-4 after Bays recorded a 13310 for 2nd, Fisher was 3rd at 131-4 and Blomqvist came in 4th at 129-4.
Logan Schram placed 3rd in the shot put with a heave of 49-3, while Fisher was 5th at 43-5.
Varsity Girls
Bethanee Lozano finished 4th in the 100 dash with a time of 13.20, Savannah Seibert came in 2nd in the 400 after she posted a 59.77 and Landon Wade placed 6th in the 800 by recording a 2:40.
Eleanor Davis clocked in at 12:22 in the 3200 for 4th place, Prisca Igbo took 2nd in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.71 and Igbo also came in 2nd in the 300 hurdles at 48.30 and Brei Johnson was one spot back in 3rd at 50.10.
In the 4x100, the Lady Hounds relay of Savannah Seibert, Alyson Bendele, Prisca Igbo and Kelsey Hernandez finished 4th with a 50.40.
The 4x200 relay of Bendele, Elaina Smith, Bethanee Lozano and Mary Elizabeth Zaehringer combined for 5th in the 4x200 with a time of 1:52.
BHS picked up more points in the 4x400 relay after Seibert, Mary Marino, Brei Johnson and Landon Wade clocked in at 4:20 for 5th.
In the 4,000-meter distance medley relay, the Lady Hounds were 4th after Kiera Sawyer, Penelope Kirk, Marino and Abigail Jendrusch with a time of 13:54.
Prisco Igbo earned more points in the field events after she was 5th in the high jump after clearing 4-8, while in the pole vault, BHS went 3-4-6.
Landon Wade placed 3rd in the vault after she cleared 8-6, Mckeehan Smith was 4th at 7-6 and Samantha Sardo finished 6th at 7-6.
Ella Schram flung the discus 99-10 that was good enough for 5th and Schram placed 6th in the shot put with a throw of 33-4.
