BOERNE CONCERT BAND presents “A Night to Remember.” Come enjoy musical selections like The Trombone King, American Fiddle Tune Variations, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lawrence of Arabia and more, from 3-4 p.m. in the Boerne High School auditorium. The band is made up of musical members from all over the Texas Hill Country and from all walks of life.

SPAGHETTI DINNER ‘FRIENDRAISER’: The Benedictine Sisters of Boerne invite the public to join them from 5-7 p.m. for this year’s Feast of St. Benedict spaghetti dinner and gift baskets drawing, all in the Cana Ballroom, 202 W. Kronkosky St. Enjoy a great meal and support the Sisters’ “Friend-raiser” event. Tickets are $20 each; sponsorships and underwriting opportunities are still available.
TLU CHOIRS TOUR: The Texas Lutheran University Choir’s annual spring tour lands in Comfort today, at 7 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 318 High St. in Comfort, before moving on to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls March 21. Performances are free and open to the public.

LANDOWNER STEWARDSHIP WORKSHOP from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Cibolo Nature Center auditorium, 140 City Park Road, Boerne. Join experts from the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and Hill Country Alliance, who will discuss stewardship in the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape region. Speakers will cover everything from riparian management strategies and native grassland restoration to landowner opportunities through the Camp Bullis Regional Conservation Partnership Program. ADULT NIGHT HIKE: Night hikes for adults at Cibolo Nature Center are longer hikes, using unfamiliar trails. Hike begins at 7:15 p.m. and typically runs to about 8:45 p.m. Expect to spend time without flashlights in hopes of viewing nocturnal wildlife. Cost is $15 per adult hiker (from a “mature teenager” and up).

KCFA GARAGE SALE at the KCFA Fairgrounds. Started spring cleaning? Cleared your clutter? Or just looking to land the next great treasure? COMMUNITY SHRED DAY in conjunction with the 12th annual KCFA Community Garage Sale at the Kendall County Fairgrounds. The secure Shred-It truck will be there from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until it is full, whichever comes first. The fee will be donation based. Limit is eight file boxes per person.
NEST OPEN HOUSE: From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees will be able to tour The Nest, 33 Herff Road, and meet its knowledgeable staff, learn about the curriculum and the schedules they offer, and see the unique classroom cottages and outdoor play areas.
BLUEGRASS JAM: BRING an instrument and play along or just show up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to listen to the bluegrass jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The Agri-Cultural, 102 City Park Road. The event is free to the public, but donations are welcome.
ORGANIC GARDENING SERIES is designed to provide practical skills and knowledge for gardening enthusiasts of all levels. The focus of this class is “Companion Planting, Native Pants & Pollinators.” Classes, $35 each, run 1:30-3 p.m. at the Herff Farm. To sign up, visit cibolo.org.
OUTDOOR FAMILY FAIR by Boerne Parks and Recreation. The Outdoor Family Fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Main Plaza, 100 N. Main St., connects families with community-focused services and organizations. Come learn about resources and organizations in the Boerne area.
IRISH DANCE PERFORMANCE by the Inishfree School of Irish Dancing during the Outdoor Family Fair mentioned previously. The Inishfree School has locations throughout the United States and abroad in Belfast. Check the daily schedule at Outdoor Fest for performance times.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING MEETING: The meeting’s discussion panel will include a federal prosecutor, federal law enforcement officer, a human trafficking survivor and a prevention educator/advocate. SECOND ANNUAL CASINO Night: The Comfort Golden Age Center hosts its second annual Casino Night 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the Hermann Sons Camp Hilltop dining hall, 170 Hilltop Camp Road in Comfort. Guests will enjoy casino play tables, music, hors d’oeuvres, beverages, games and other surprises. Goal of the fundraiser to is raise additional funding for renovations at the Golden Age Center. $75 per ticket in advance, $85 at the door. Ticket includes gaming chips and food.
BIRDING WITH PURPOSE: Socialize with fellow “bird nerds” while partaking in hors d’oeuvres. The event, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Hunke Gathering Halle at Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road, features Alamo Chapter Texas Master Naturalists Patsy and Tom Inglet, who will lead a talk describing the various ways to put a love for birds, and birding skills, to work.

BOERNE AREA DEMOCRATS guest speaker is State Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer, District 116 representative, beginning at noon at the Longhorn Cafe, 369 S. Esser St. Fischer will discuss the 89th legislative session including the state budget, school funding and vouchers, and property tax relief. Those intending to eat lunch should arrive slightly earlier, to do so.
