HB3: Where does Boerne ISD stand?
Editor, This week the Texas House of Representatives is taking public comments regarding HB3, more commonly known as the Education Savings Accounts (ESA), or “private school vouchers,” bill.
My question is, where does the Boerne ISD board of trustees stand on this issue? What public comments have trustees made about the private school vouchers proposal?
Are we taking a stand against the bill, or are we going along just “to get along?” I would like to hear from our school board trustees.
Our school board is made up of Republicans. Another question I have: Why is the Republican Party hellbent to destroy public education in Texas. For years, Republicans have underfunded public education; now, they want to divert even more money away from public education.
Call State Rep. Ellen Troxclair at 512-463-0490 and ask her to vote “no” on HB3.
