SANCTUARY BIRD SURVEY at Sisterdale Sanctuary. The Sanctuary, a 32-acre preserve protecting the Guadalupe watershed, provides access to nature and a safe habitat for the many who call it home. Monthly bird surveys gather valuable wildlife data for future conservation strategies and planning of the Sisterdale Sanctuary. Register at cibolo.org.

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort. This open tournament has a $ 10 buy- in and features first, second and third place prizes. Enjoy good company, drinks and food at the club. SKATE BATTLE HOSTED by Boerne Parks and Recreation, from 6-8 p.m. at the Boerne Skate Park, 524 Adler Road. MOVIE IN THE PARK: Come out early for some pre-movie fun starting at 7 p.m.; the movie, “Cars,” starts at sundown. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and snacks to Main Plaza, 100 N. STORYTIME WITH MS. Constance at the Herff Farm, 33 Herff Road. The storytime will begin at 10:30 a.m. The theme will be “St Patrick’s Day Story.”

MARCH 16

BOERNE CONCERT BAND presents “A Night to Remember,” from 3-4 p.m. in the Boerne High School auditorium. Come enjoy musical selections like Pirates of the Caribbean, Lawrence of Arabia, The Trombone King, American Fiddle Tune Variations and more. The band is made up of musical members from all over the Texas Hill Country and from all walks of life.
