Boerne Champion has qualified a singles player and a doubles team to this year’s 5A state tournament, while another Charger player will serve as an alternate at state.
At regionals, Amber Lewis finished 2nd in girls singles and the mixed doubles team of Sophia Raimondo and Maddox Wilfong also placed 2nd to qualify for state, while Avi Gallegos was 3rd in girls singles and will serve as an alternate.
The regional tourney was last week in San Antonio and the 5A state tournament will also be held in S.A. on Tuesday – Wednesday, April 26-27.
