Children’s programming
Spring Break is packed with exciting activities for all ages. While regularly scheduled programs will pause March 10-14, we’re offering some special events.
Our Art-to-Go program invites children in kindergarten through fifth grade to pick up a fun St. Patrick’s Day craft to complete at home. Just remember, supplies are limited, so it’s first come, first served.
On Thursday, March 13, at 9:30 a.m., join us for Mardi- PAWS, a heartwarming collaboration with our Boerne Care Services. Enjoy a story, songs, crafts, a tasty treat, and meet adorable, adoptable animals.
Later in the month, at 10 a.m. on March 22, celebrate Holi at the Boerne Outdoor Family Fair with vibrant color crafting, delicious refreshments, and a stunning dance performance by the Arathi School of Indian Dance.
Plus, don’t miss Storytime at Herff Farmers Market, featuring Dinosaurs (March 8) and St. Patrick’s Day (March 15) at the Herff Farmhouse.
March Pinspirations
Creativity is blooming at Pinspirations — join us at 6 p.m. March 5 for a hands-on crafting session where we’ll be making beautiful beaded plant holders, the perfect way to add a touch of charm to your home or garden.
No experience? No worries. We’ll provide all the supplies and guidance — you just bring your crafty spirit. Grab a friend and enjoy a fun evening of creativity and good company.

March masterpieces
During the month of March, step into a world of boundless creativity and youthful expression.
The library gallery is showcasing a delightful exhibition that showcases original artwork by talented Crestmont Christian Prep School students from sixth through 12th grade. Each piece is a testament to the imagination, dedication and artistic growth of these young creators.
From beautifully matted paper works to intricate papier-mâché and small-scale sculptures, every creation reflects the unique perspectives of its artist.
This family-friendly collection offers a glimpse of the dreams and inspirations of the next generation, proving that artistry has no age. Come celebrate the vision and talent of these incredible young artists and be inspired by their creativity.
‘Live! at the Library’
Join us at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, for an energizing drumming experience with Kevin Cooley, a professional musician with over 30 years of experience.
In 2008, he founded “Drumming Around” to bring people together through rhythm, community and wellness. His engaging drum circles are designed for all ages and settings, from schools to corporate teams. Don’t miss this chance to connect, de-stress and feel the beat.
Heath Library offers a monthly concert as part of our “Live! at the Library” series on the third Thursday of each month.
Assistance for Spanish speakers
Let your Spanish-speaking friends know they can join us from 5-7 p.m. every Wednesday at the Heath Library for personalized assistance in Spanish.
Library staff member Erica will be available to help our Spanish-speaking community members gain access to resources and services that empower them to get involved and thrive in the community.
Whether looking for information, support or guidance, Erica is here to assist Spanish- language visitors every week. Call Erica at 830-2493035, or they email: [email protected].
Used items for sale
Are you aware that the library boasts its own volunteer- operated used bookstore? It’s called the Bookshop Under the Windmill, and it’s located right next door to the library.
Bookshop hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The Friends of the Boerne Public Library take in gently used items such as books, movies, magazines, puzzles and more.
If you would like to donate your items, please bring them by the library anytime during library business hours.
If the library is unable to add the items to our collection, then we pass them along to the bookshop. All the money they raise in sales is then used to help support the library’s mission and goals.
