Champion picked up a key district win last Thursday after the Chargers softball team defeated Seguin at home thanks to a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh.

Thursday’s contest was tied at 3-3 and Champion’s Krista Tarver hit a bases-loaded single in the seventh to bring in the winning run and end the game.

It was a big victory for the Chargers because they are battling with the Matadors for a playoff spot and have now split the season series with them.
