Geneva girls roll, boys defeated in soccer playoffs

The season continues for one Geneva School of Boerne soccer team, while the other was eliminated in the TAPPS Area round playoffs Monday night.

The Geneva girls team rolled to a 7-1 victory Monday in Dripping Springs against Waco Live Oak to advance to the regional championship match.

Geneva received its 7 goals from 6 different players after Hadessa Hochart finished with 2 goals, while Kate Friesenhahn, Adeline Vela, Emery Taylor, Anabelle Leary and Trinity Cloud all netted one goal apiece.

Geneva faces New Braunfels Christian Academy Thursday for the right to go to state. Site and time to be determined.

On the boys side, the Eagles made the long drive to the Houston area on Monday to play Northland Christian and put up a good fight but were defeated, 5-2, to end their season.
