The Boerne ISD baseball teams were scheduled to open their seasons this week at home, and like the softball teams the week before, the Greyhounds and Chargers open with district games.
Comfort was scheduled to open their season Monday against La Pryor and then play in the Three Rivers Tournament this weekend.
The Geneva School of Boerne is scheduled to fire up its 2025 season soon.
With nine teams in District 26-5A and 16 district games, plus a bye in each round, the teams have to allow for nine weeks just to complete league play so they start early because there are also non-district games to play.
The Chargers opened the baseball season Tuesday with a district contest against Veterans Memorial. Champion is scheduled to play in the Northside ISD tourney this weekend and continue league play Tuesday, Feb. 25 against Smithson Valley.
The Greyhounds were also scheduled to be at home against Wagner. BHS will also play in the NISD tourney this weekend and then visit Kerrville Tivy on Feb. 25 as they continue district action.
