No one said it was going to be easy for the Comfort boys basketball team to win Tuesday night in Blanco with a district championship on the line.
Comfort had to go to Blanco and beat its archrival for its first district title since the 2007-08 season.
Well, the 17-year drought is over after the Bobcats claimed this year’s league championship with a slim 46-43 victory over the Panthers.
Comfort ends the year at
The Comfort boys begin the 3A-DI playoffs Monday against Sweetwater in Eden, 7 p.m.

9-1 in District 5-3A and is 22-10 overall.
The Bobcats are scheduled to play Sweetwater Monday in Eden, 7 p.m., to open the first round of the 3A-DI playoffs.
Ingram won Tuesday and finished second in district at 8-2, so Comfort had to win or else they would have been tied with the Warriors since Ingram handed the Bobcats their district loss this season.
Brady finished third at 6-4 and Blanco came in fourth at 5-5.
