With the district title already in their back pocket, the Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team is using its final few regular- season games to keep sharp entering the playoffs, which are coming up soon.
Last Friday, the Eagles were at Castle Hills and recorded the 78-27 victory. They were at Holy Cross Monday to close out the regular season and entered the contest at 26-4 overall and 11-0 in district.
Geneva had four players in double figures last Friday at Castle Hills after Kyra Petty scored 26, Maegan Riebel netted 18, Grace Detterick added 12 and Madeline Egbert finished with 11. Sopris Oglesby tallied 8 and Amelia Morgan chipped in with 3.
Riebel made it a double- double and tallied 10 assists to go with her 18 points, while she also came up with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Egbert also recorded a double-double-10 assists to go with her 11 points.
