Geneva swim teams compete at TAPPS regional meet

The Geneva School of Boerne swim team was in action at their regional meet at Davis Natatorium in San Antonio recently.

Geneva’s swim program is made up of four boys and four girls and despite having only eight swimmers compete, the “mighty eight” produced solid results and advanced to regionals.

The TAPPS state meet is scheduled for this coming week, also at Davis Natatorium.

Varsity Girls

Haylee Parnell won the 100 breaststroke and was 3rd in the 100 freestyle.

Abigail Bussey placed 2nd in the 200 free and was 4th in the 100 butterfly Raquel Moerdyk finished 4th in the 50 freestyle and 6th in the 100 free Bussey, Moerdyk, Malyn Arnold and Parnell combined for 2nd place in the 200-yard medley relay.

Varsity Boys

Reid Wilson won the 200-yard individual medley and was 2nd in the 100 breaststroke.

Sam Siller was 14th in the 100 freestyle and 15th in the 50 free.

Samuel Crews placed 9th in the 200 freestyle and 7th in the breaststroke.

Will Crews took 7th in the breaststroke and 9th in the 200 free.

Siller, Samuel Crews, Will Crews and Wilson combined for 6th in the 200-medley relay and Siller, Samuel Crews, Will Crews and Reid Wilson teamed up for 3rd in the 200-free relay.
