Lady Hounds played Tivy Friday in tiebreaker game

The Boerne High girls basketball team took care of business Tuesday night against New Braunfels on Senior Night.

Meanwhile, Kerrville Tivy won its game across town at Boerne Champion, which means the Greyhounds and Antlers finished the regular season tied for third in 26-5A at 11-5.

Because they need to figure out seeding heading into the playoffs, the teams played Friday to break the tie.

Friday’s game was held at Champion and the winner gets third and the loser slips to fourth entering the playoffs that start this coming week. (Pieper and Wagner were also tied at 15-1 for first place.)

In Tuesday’s game, the Lady Hounds (20-12 overall) were in control right away and leading 22-5 at the end of the first quarter.

BHS held NB to just 2 points in the second while they scored 10 and took a 32-7 advantage into halftime.

The Unicorns played well in the third and tallied 17 points, while Boerne scored 11 but still held a comfortable lead at 43-24.

BHS finished out the game with 8 points in the fourth quarter while the Unicorns scored 7 for the 20-point Greyhound win.

Meredith Mcleod led the team with 19 points, Chloe Donnell knocked down three 3s for 9 points, Oleyvia Ramos chipped in with 8, Savannah Salinas and Addison Saur finished with 4 points each, JT Hernandez scored 3, while Hartlee Menn and Jenna Ruede added 2 points apiece.

Seniors this year are Jenna Ruede, Chloe Donnell, Meredith Mcleod and Savannah Salinas.
