The Geneva School of Boerne basketball teams had a successful road trip to Corpus Christi Tuesday and picked up a pair of wins against C.C. John Paul II.
Both basketball squads remain undefeated in district play and were back in action Friday against another Corpus Christi school, Incarnate Word, but at least this one was at home in Boerne.
Varsity Girls
Geneva improves to 23-4 overall and is 9-0 in district.
They are scheduled to host Gloria Deo Academy Tuesday in a non-district game.
The Eagles had five players finish in double figures and were led by Kyra Petty and Maegan Riebel who tallied 20 points apiece. Madeline Egbert finished with 14 points, Grace Detterick scored 11 and Morgan Howard netted 10.
Reese Smith added 4 and Sopris Oglesby chipped in with 2 points.
Riebel made it a double- double after she also finished with 10 assists to go with her 20 points. Petty also dished out 8 assists and came up with 6 steals, while Detterick blocked 6 shots.
Varsity Boys
The Geneva boys also rolled to a big win Tuesday and moved to 9-0 in district and 27-4 overall after they picked up the victory with an inverted score of 82-28.
Geneva was paced by Wyatt Bruss who finished with a triple double after he tallied 17 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
Jack Walker Harden scored 24 points, Bryce Hanover netted 17, Reid Aderholt finished with 8 and Noah Brunsvold chipped in with 7.
Friday’s game with C.C. Incarnate Word was Senior Night for the Eagles.
