LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. March 24
12:18 a.m., 100 block Herff Rd.- A woman tracked her son who she filed a missing person’s report for out of San Antonio to the area. Officers weren’t able to locate the boy.
11:54 a.m., 701 Oak Park Dr.- An employee with Child Protective Services received word of possible child abuse. The child’s mother, who had primary custody, lived in Boerne, and the child’s father lived in Houston.
12:17 p.m., 124 Old San Antonio Rd.- An individual was taken into custody after a man reported his was homeless, and his ex-wife wouldn’t let him get his property.
3:12 p.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- A student was found to be in possession of tobacco.
8:35 p.m., 400 Rosewood- A woman heard a man and woman yelling at each other somewhere in the parking lot, but she couldn’t see them. She heard the woman screaming, “Give me my purse.”
Officers conducted 18 security checks, made 20 traffic stops, assisted the public 17 times, removed six traffic hazards and worked three false alarms, four non-injury accidents, one animal call and one reckless driver.
March 25
3:02 a.m., Ebner- A resident reported their roommate had been sexually assaulted in the previous couple days and now was serving from an STD, and the roommate didn’t know how to help.
10:48 a.m., 35100 block I-10 W.- A man reported his girlfriend took his dog and wouldn’t give it back. She gave the dog back before walking off toward a gas station, but he wanted officers to check to make sure she was OK.
11:36 a.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- An assault was reported at Boerne High School.
3:41 p.m., 134 Menger Springs- A woman was concerned about her Great Dane she left in her running car. She had been transferred from her doctor’s office to the emergency room and hadn’t been able to check on him. Plans were made to board the dog at Herbst Veterinarian Clinic.
8:03 p.m., 814 E. Blanco Rd.- Two teenage boys went into the store and stole a CBD cigar. The store owner restrained one of the juveniles.
Officers conducted 14 security checks, made 26 traffic stops, assisted the public 17 times and worked five false alarms, one animal call and one reckless driver.

March 23
6:34 a.m., 6 Staudt St.- A man turned himself into deputies, saying the drugs his friend was arrested for were really his.
4:12 p.m., 300 block Fuller Dr.- A woman wanted to report a white SUV had followed her the previous Sunday. She noted she was going through a separation with her husband, but she wasn’t sure if it was him.
5:56 p.m., 100 block Red Bird Court- A woman called deputies when her dog-sitting friend refused to turn her pup back over.
7:14 p.m., 4000 block FM 1888- Two black cows couldn’t be contained by their pin, but they safely remained off the state highway.
9:04 p.m., 10000 block North Creek- A woman’s neighbor, also her sister-in-law, refused to give back her 12-year-old and 6-year-old children.
Deputies also made 26 traffic stops, assisted the public 13 times, removed five traffic hazards and worked three false alarms, three animal calls and one reckless driver.
March 24
2:46 a.m., 6 Staudt St.- A man called to report an accident on a back road in Kendall County. However, the man refused to answer questions from dispatch, demanding to speak to a deputy, and dispatchers claimed he lied to them several times. At point the man said he was speaking for a friend who was assaulted. He called back around 5 a.m. to report an accident on a back road in Comfort. Dispatchers recognized his voice.
10:06 a.m., 9 Upper Balcones Rd.- A woman reported a homeless person had set up a tent on the backside of her property.
3:13 p.m., 529 MM I-10 E.- A passerby watched as a man was swarmed by bees or hornets, leaving him unable to get into his truck and stung pretty badly. The man finally managed to seek refuge in his vehicle, and deputies notified TxDOT of the bee problem.
3:49 p.m., 200 block Hwy 87 N.- Four or six goats barricaded the northbound lanes of the state highway.
8:45 p.m., 100 block Mountain View Trail- Blanco County deputies sought assistance tracking down a 16-year-old on probation who took an SUV out of their county. He didn’t have a driver’s license.
Deputies also made eight traffic stops, assisted the public 13 times, removed three traffic hazards, served three warrants and worked two false alarms, one non-injury accident and one reckless driver.
March 25
1:09 a.m., 200 block Kemmer Trail- A woman reported a man and woman were prowling in her backyard. She said her husband was asleep, so she asked no sirens be turned on and nobody ring her doorbell.
6:46 a.m., 20 block Old No. 9- A passerby noted a truck ran off the roadway and wrecked in a ditch. The driver was seen walking around the vehicle trying to pick stuff up and may have been trying to leave. A second caller reported the driver was running around his property drunk before driving off in his truck.
7:30 p.m., 100 block Helen Ranch Rd.- A resident reported two people were shooting a gun towards an apartment complex. Deputies found the two were shooting in a safe direction and left them to it.
8:21 p.m., 528 MM I-10 W.- A man was arrested after seemingly failing a field sobriety test. He was pulled over after another driver reported he was swerving all over the road and almost ran an 18-wheeler off the road.
9:36 p.m., Holiday Road and I-10 E. Access Road- A driver was seen going the wrong way on the eastbound access road of the interstate.
Deputies also made 14 traffic stops, assisted the public 18 traffic stops, removed two traffic hazards and worked four false alarms, two non-injury accidents, two animal calls and two reckless drivers.
