That first win of the season is still eluding the Boerne Champion boys soccer team as of last Friday.
Champion was coming off a bye and had a chance at it last Friday but Alamo Heights played Champion to a 2-2 draw at Orem Stadium.
The Chargers are 0-4-4 overall and 0-0-3 in district. Champion hosted Boerne High Tuesday and visits Pieper Friday.
Alamo Heights scored first in the match in the ninth minute but Champion evened it up at 1-1 on the Bentley McCool goal in the 29th minute.
The Mules pulled ahead at 2-1 early in the second half but Champion responded quickly with the equalizer. The Chargers answered after Kevin Grover knocked in a goal on the Nathan Bell assist just four minutes later, but that’s where it stayed for the final 31 minutes.
