The Boerne High girls hoops team used a strong fourth quarter and picked up a road win Tuesday against Warren.
BHS outscored the Lady Warriors in the final stanza, 17-7, and won the game by 10 points, 45-35.
The Lady Greyhounds are 2-2 overall and play in the SAISD tournament this weekend.
Tuesday’s game in San Antonio was tight until the final period when the Lady Hounds pulled away.
Boerne was up 9-8 after one quarter and then took a 22-18 lead into halftime after they outscored the Lady Warriors in the second, 13-10.
Warren caught up in the third after they took the quarter 10-6 and it was 28-28 going into the fourth. That’s when the Boerne girls pulled away with a 17-7 showing to tilt the game in their direction.
BHS shot well from 2-point range and was 12 for 25 from the field and they knocked down five 3-pointers.
Defensively, they came up with 15 steals and took three charges.
Savannah Salinas paced the team with 11 points and JT Hernandez netted 10 to make it two in double figures. Meredith Mcleod, Jenna Ruede and Addison Saur all tallied 6 points, Chloe Donnell added 4 and Oleyvia Ramos hit for 2.
Mcleod grabbed 7 rebounds and Ruede dished out 6 assists.
